I'm a Tero-Certified Artist and member of the Cherokee Nation.  During lockdown, everybody started making sourdough bread and I thought that sounded really difficult and also gross.  (Although sourdough bread is delicious.)  I decided to see if I could paint a picture of a person and you could tell who it is.  That person was Richard Brautigan, people could tell, and I'm still painting today.

I don't have formal training.  I took an art class at 5 and then one semester in high school.  I just truly enjoy painting, especially painting portraits of people I love, or whose art I love. The more emotion I'm able to summon for a subject, the better I think the piece turns out.
